Artist Statement
While I love color, a lot of my work is in black and white. This is because of the way I often see the world. As someone who struggles with depression, I often see the world through a gloomy filter. I strive to portray things in their raw form, no matter how dark.

Artist Journey
It was not until the beginning of high school when I started focusing on honing my artistic skills. As I struggled to survive in a toxic house hold, I hid in my room most if the time while I was not at school. During this solitude, I would draw for hours. When I started showing my work to my peers, I got shockwave of positive feedback. This pushed me to keep creating, and soon I filled my first sketchbook.
As I got older and more skilled, I began considering art as a career. At 16, I created an instagram account dedicated to my art. This was my first big step a becoming a serious artist.

After high school, I was unsure about pursing a degree in art despite my passion. After enrolling in college, I initially declared a major in psychology. I took art classes on the side, and as my professors and peers continued to comment on my art, I decided to change my major to art. I am currently finishing my final year of undergrad as an art and business major.
